Effect of isosorbide in Meniere's disease

Popis:	Isosorbide (Isobide®, Nikkenkagaku) was given to 13 patients with Meniere's disease and one with delayed hydrops syndrome, and its effects on vertigo, tinnitus and hearing loss were evaluated. Seventy ml of 70% Isobide was given daily in 3 divided doses.The duration of medication ranged from 4 to 10 weeks. Although Isobide was not effective for tinnitus or hearing loss, vertigo was well controlled in 71.4% of cases. There were no appreciable side effects.
