| Popis: | Isochroman-1,4-dione reacted with formaldehyde to give a methylenebis compound which is the exact analogue of dicoumarol, although it lacks the latter's potent anticoagulant properties. A similar reaction was observed with pyridine-2-aldehyde, but with benzaldehyde, 3-benzylideneisochroman-1,4-dione was obtained. |
