Popis: The objective of the research is to develop a composite material of polyethyleneterephthalate PET of post consumiption and sawdust, for the elaboration of wood plastic composite, which we will denominate “Eco Madera”. PET is one of the most discarded plastics in landfills and garbage dumps in cities; likewise, sawdust is also considered a waste for sawmills. Taking into account the aforementioned, and due to the lack of recycling policies for both materials, the idea of composite material is born, which is an alternative to wood because it takes advantage of the advantageous properties of both PET and sawdust, and subsequently, evaluate future applications to the product.
