Nuclear matter distribution inSn112,Sn116, andSn124from the (p,n) reaction

Popis: Angular distributions have been obtained for the quasielastic (p, n) reaction on /sup 112/Sn, /sup 116/Sn, and /sup 124/Sn at a proton energy of 22.8 MeV. Data are of sufficient precision to reveal differences in both the shape and magnitude of the angular distributions. Analysis in terms of a nuclear matter model indicates that the data are consistent with an increase in the ratio of the neutron to proton root-mean-square radius with increase in neutron excess.
