The article assesses the results of the implementation of multilateral cooperation of the CIS member states in the field of trade. It has been established that despite the fact that, on the whole, the CIS member states fulfill their obligations under the Free Trade Zone Agreement, there are a number of contradictions and barriers that impede the implementation of a coordinated trade policy and increase mutual trade. Analysis of individual indicators of the dynamics of mutual trade showed a low intensity of interaction between the CIS member states, their orientation towards third countries. Russia remains the main export and import partner for most of the CIS countries, which itself is much focused on partners outside the CIS. At the same time, foreign trade relations within the CIS are characterized by insignificant diversification, and their direction and intensity depends on a number of economic and political factors. |
