Popis:	Studies of these and other areas of uncertainty in LPS biosynthesis are fundamental to our knowledge of bacterial physiology. Ultimately, we intend to investigate the biological significance and mechanisms by which P. aeruginosa is able to express multiple and appropriate cell surface molecules in response to specific environmental conditions/signals. Insight in this area will be crucial for the rational design of antimicrobial agents directed against P. aeruginosa and other medically significant gram-negative bacteria.
