Popis: The dualism of design and use is deconstructed in the transformative critical room "Elitesport", one of the experimental spaces of enhancement technologies. This article pleads for the empowerment of athletes by giving them personal responsibility for their bodies and the release of enhancement technologies into their power of disposal under the condition that they are fully aware of all consequences and risks. The users of the technology, the athletes are the designers of their body transformation and as such, they should have the right of self-determination in the way they want to change their own body. Such an approach would also open up a fair and individualized participation of all athletes in all competitions, regardless of gender, without having to exclude disabled people with high-tech protheses, cyborgs with robotic applications or anyone else as monsters or aliens. The redesign of the Apparatus "competition" would be the prerequisite for athletes to act on their own responsibility. The Apparatus "competition" could make the critical-transformative space "elite sport" and the unlimited useable enhancement technologies reliable; trustworthy and leavable. Gender meanings can be renegotiated and this could lead to gender differentiation.
