Difficulties are being brought to maintenance support of vessels along with the continuous improvement in degrees of intelligence, information-based development and integration of equipment for vessels. The strategy of maintenance for the current vessels combines regular maintenance with breakdown maintenance and is hard to comply with the requirements on precise maintenance support for vessels. Therefore, transformation of strategy of maintenance for vessels to health-oriented maintenance is an irresistible trend of development for equipment maintenance support. The basic way to implement the health-oriented maintenance is the prognostics and health management (PHM) technology. In this paper, firstly the top-level architecture of the PHM system for vessels is established on the basis of detailed analysis of connotations and effects of PHM technology to clearly define the main functional modules for the system; secondly, basic technologies necessary for realizing the PHM are analyzed; and finally, a technical index system of PHM for vessels is established, for the purpose of providing indexes related to health management capabilities in such aspects as performance, general quality characteristics and design constraints and of providing references for study on PHM technology for vessel equipment, corresponding systematic design analysis, verification and assessment and breakthrough of key technologies in the future. |
