The complexes [( η 5 - Me 4 EtC 5 )MCl 3 L 2 ] ( M = Th , U, L = MeCONMe 2 ( dma ); M = U, L = Ph 3 PO(tppo), Me 3 CCONMe 2 (dmpva) have been prepared. The reaction of [( η 5 - Me 4 EtC 5 )UCl 3 (dma) 2 ] with an equimolar amount of Tl(C 5 H 5 ) in CH 2 Cl 2 yields [( η 5 - Me 4 EtC 5 )( η 5 - C 5 H 5 ) 2 UC1] and unchanged starting material, indicating that [( η 5 - Me 4 EtC 5 )( η 5 - C 5 H 5 )UCl 2 ] is unstable with respect to disproportionation. The 1 H- and 13 C-NMR spectra of [( η 5 - Me 4 EtC 5 )ThCl 3 (dma) 2 ] are reported, together with the IR spectra of all the complexes. Evidence for the formation of complexes of the type [( η 5 - Me 4 EtC 5 )MCl 2 (HBPz 3 )(dma) x ] ( M = Th , U; Pz = C 3 H 3 N 2 (pyrazolyl)) is also reported. |
