Popis: Forensic material investigation covers the scientific and engineering doctrines to solve a crime. Engineering evaluation accomplishes the source of the failure to help assign responsibility for the damages. Most failures involve materials damage of some sort. The special skill required for forensic engineering is the ability of the analyst to break down the technical issues for interpretation by nontechnical people, such as attorneys, agents, judges, and juries. The main principle of forensic investigations is presence of actual trace evidence of a criminal or accidental activity which makes a record of itself. This chapter covers the analytic techniques, chemical markers, and methods involved in forensic material analysis.
