| Popis: | The optimal surveillance strategy in renal cell carcinoma after curative resection or ablation is a field of ongoing research. This review discusses the evidence behind routine follow up, duration of follow up, imaging modality and intervals as well as surveillance after local ablative therapy. The recommendations and differences of major guidelines are outlined as well. A risk based approach is advocated taking into account both tumor and patient specific characteristics. |
