Application of ceramic membranes for purification of solvent extraction process wastewaters from tributyl phosphate

Popis: | The purification of solvent extraction process wastewaters from tri-butyl phosphate (TBP) using ceramic membranes was investigated. The ceramic membranes with molecular weight cut-off values ranging from 1 to 20 kD were used. The use of ceramic membranes allows to remove a significant part of the TBP from nitrate solutions. The degree of purification of the solutions increases with process temperature growth. Membranes with 1 and 5 kD were the most effective for cleaning nitrate solutions from tri-butyl phosphate. The residual TBP content in the filtrate was below 50 mg L−1. The degree of extraction of TBP is more than 87 %. |
