The current study aims to assess the effects of both overall impulsivity and its subtypes (motor, attentional, and non-planning) on response time in a visual attention task. More specifically, the study will examine whether the independent variables differentially impact three measures of response time: overall response time as well as two independent subcomponents of response time (time to touch and time to swipe). We will use data from a self-report impulsivity questionnaire to assess participants’ levels of overall impulsivity and of each of the three subtypes. Our behavioral data will come from an object sorting task in the Airport Scanner mobile game. |
