The Shameplant (Mimosa pudica) are known to move its twigs and leaves after stimulation, and people have enjoyed its reactions over time. These reactions have been identified to be related to bioelectric potentials. Using the reactions of the shameplant, we investigated methods and conditions that cause its twigs to face downward, by applying electrical stimulation using a computer and an Arduino. We successfully directed the twigs downward using electrical stimulation and made specific twigs of a stem face downward using a computer and an Arduino. |
