Popis: The number and variety of cultures past and present have divided members of the human race throughout the course of history. Our differing cultural perspectives make it difficult to grasp the process of evolving values, and often allow us to ignore or discount the cultures of others, and cultures of the past, or the future, as well. Because culture is the means by which we encode our experience of the world, it is also our reality. Thus, at this moment when social conflicts and destructive practices threaten not only our future as a species but the future of our world as a living system, we must seek new ways for individuals and cultures to cooperate and use technologies wisely to restore and guard the environment while bringing the benefits of sustainable prosperity to people everywhere. The global initiative “Design Me a Planet,” outlined and discussed in this article, aims to help accomplish this vital and long-desired goal.
