On the behavior of electromagnetic interference measured from glass insulator

Popis: This paper presents the preliminary results of our investigation into the measurement of the spectrum generated by insulator under activity up to 31.6KV in normal weather conditions and artificial pollution. We use the classical antenna measurement technique to register the corona spectra. The results show a significant number of components in a large range of operating frequency. This encourages a deep study over a broad frequency range. The measurements were made in the HV laboratory using standard antenna. The range of measurements goes from 87MHz up to 900MHz. The amplitude levels of the EM spectrum from the isolator when compared with those from local radio station were very closed.
