The article analyzes the pedagogical heritage of domestic educator Timoshenko P. It was defined by him that receiving of proper upbringing by children will serve in future as a guarantor of personal and social welfare. The purpose of education should align with universal, common to all mankind progress and should be reflected in many-sided harmonious development of personality. It was emphasized that better management for achieving the goal Timoshenko named exactly the home education, in which professional activity of tutor can dial with family upbringing. The educator identified the three shortcomings of home education: the complexity of the recruitment the highest level home teacher, the dominant role of parents in pedagogical process in comparison with a tutor and pupil’s relative isolation from children’s collective. The educator offered the ways of their overcoming, namely, Timoshenko P. gave the characteristics of home teachers’ professional competence and formed the recommendations regarding tutor’s engage with parents. Also he noticed that high incidence of big families which could form and replace children’s collective. It has been disclosed the meaning of relationship with all participants of educational process: parents, tutors and children. It has been established that the teacher defined the leading role of education to the parents.. Love and mutual respect underlie family relationship and sets out the direction of home educational. Thus, Timoshenko P. highlighted parents’ love and kids’ affection to their parents. The educator outlined the three forms of love: instinctive, conscious and sympathetic. The article proves that application of conscious love is the most effective and advisable pedagogical phenomenon. It has been characterized Timoshenko’s pedagogical discourse regarding the professional personal characteristics’ problem of tutor that is professional competence. Accordingly to the knowledge that babysitters have significant impact on physical and moral development of a child, the teacher offered competent babysitters’ characteristics. Tutors provided the educational process of school-aged children. The author placed the pedagogical maturity of home teachers to the central place in professional and personal characteristics of a tutor. We have outlined the components of home tutors’ professional competence: motivational, cognitive, operational and personal. The article proved that the addressing the shortcomings of home education makes it the best platform for multifaceted personal development of a child. |
