Popis: | Parasexiphenyl Φ6 may be considered as a model compound for the electroactive polyparaphenylene. Beyond six repeat units the properties of such material are close to those of the polymer itself without presenting drawbacks related to formation of polymer films. Parasexiphenyl can be processed by vacuum sublimation under controlled conditions: we have recently shown that two textured crystalline phases grow from glass substrates according to deposition parameters which differ only by the length of the c parameter due to a slightly different tilt angle of the molecule along the c axis of the monoclinic unit cell. The aim of this paper is to present further work on deposition of parasexiphenyl onto other substrates and actually onto monocrystalline substrates (silicon, KBr,…x). These deposits will be characterize by X-ray diffraction and electron microscopy as well as by optical spectroscopies. |
