Dwarf-shrub-Sphagnum mires in taiga zone: Comparison of phytomass structure and productivity

Popis:	The study compared phytomass structure (percentages of phytomass fractions) and annual primary production of mesotrophic dwarf-shrub-Sphagnum mires—the most widespread mires in Karelia, West Siberia, and Priamur’e. The analysis showed similarities and differences in phytomass structure among the regions. Fire-disturbed and undisturbed mires of Priamur’e were compared. The study revealed high productivity of underground phytomass of vascular plants and its close relation to water regime of mesotrophic mires in general and those of Priamur’e in particular.
