Popis:	First a description is given of a new satellite system concept using highly eccentric inclined orbits, with special attention on orbit characteristics and related aspects and some impacts on satellite configuration and communication system. Following this, it is proposed how this concept could be used in INMARSAT's 3rd generation system, not only for communication but also for navigation.
