Popis:	The speed of convergence of the continued fraction $K({1 / {b_n }})$ is estimated for positive real elements $b_n $ and for complex elements contained in regions for which $K({1 / {b_n }})$ converges. The estimates are determined by calculating the ratio of successive diameters of a nested sequence of sets $\{Z_n \}$ , where the nth approximant of $K({1 / {b_n }})$ is contained in the set $Z_n $.
