Popis: The effect of sulphur dioxide on the blue standards is discussed and the light fastness of pastel colours on wool investigated. Comparisons are made of seasonal variations, visual and colorimetric assessments, and bleaching and dyeing variations. Standard 4 is very sensitive to sulphur dioxide. Product LF (S)1 retards the initial fading on wool. Undyed wool has lower light-fastness ratings than dyed wool: yellow colouring matter in the wool, rather than the dye applied, is responsible for most of the fading.
