Popis: When pyrogas containing about 0.25% acetylene is purified over a catalyst (zinc chloride on aluminum oxide) in the presence of 10% ammonia (on weight of pyrogas) at a temperature of 350°C and atmospheric pressure, the acetylenes in it are reduced to 0.001% by volume. The amounts of ethylene and propylene in the pyrogas remain practically unchanged.
