Popis: | Aerial-applied DDT-oil solutions for eradication to the gypsy moth. Porthetria dispar (L.). in 1957 were found to be highly persistent on forage and little affected by weathering. However, the growth of new grass with its great increase in mass and volume was found to be a very important factor in residue "loss," The use of DDT as an eradicant spray resulted in widespread contamination of milk which persisted for at least 1 year. At one poultry farm cheeked, eggs were found to be contaminated for a period of 1 month. |
