Popis:	o-(Phenylphenyl)acetylene and (2,5-di-tert-butylphenyl)acetylene polymerized with group 6 and 5 transition metal catalysts irrespective of the presence of the bulky ortho substituents. Both of the polymers were dark purple solids and insoluble in any organic solvents. The onset temperatures of weight loss of the polymers were 270°C and higher
