The present research aims to understand how pride perception (hubristic and authentic pride) can interfere with a sequential choice. For this, we use differentiation as a dependent variable (horizontal and vertical perspectives) and envy as a mediator (benign and malicious). Other measures such as parasocial interaction and need for uniqueness are used to understand why people need to differentiate when perceiving hubristic or authentic pride or feeling benign and malicious envy. |
