Popis: The importance of monitoring human hydration level is nowhere more critical than for soldiers operating in extreme outdoors conditions. A wearable non-invasive hydration level monitoring system can benefit its wearer by preventing prolonged dehydration. This paper proposes an intraoral sensor design, targeting the changes in salivary markers, such as viscosity and osmolality, as a method of monitoring human hydration. The sensor performance, as sample viscosity and osmolality changes, is detailed.
