Popis: A generic bottle form for powdered mustard has been identified using archaeological and documentary sources. These bottles are characterized by a tall narrow square body with flat or concave chamfered corners, a comparatively wide mouth and short neck. Some examples are embossed, some are not. The history of the production of these bottles in both North America and Britain is examined.
