Design of FSS Filters for 5G applications

Popis: This paper presents an FSS filter design dedicated to 5G applications around 3.5 GHz, the 5G band for the four French telephone operators. This filter, which consists of 8 × 8 unit slot cells, provides a stable frequency response with regard to the incidence angle. This was achieved by using metallic vias that allowed an insensitivity of the filter response to the incidence angle. The measured data are in good agreement with those simulated using CST EM software tool.
