The 185-\ensuremath{\mu}sec isomer in ${\mathrm{Ho}}^{166}$ has been produced by the ${\mathrm{Ho}}^{165}$ ($d, p$) reaction and the delayed radiation studied with $\ensuremath{\gamma}$ scintillation spectrometers and a magnetic $\ensuremath{\beta}$ spectrometer. The results have been combined with high-resolution measurements of the $\ensuremath{\gamma}$ rays from thermal-neutron capture in ${\mathrm{Ho}}^{165}$, using a curved-crystal spectrometer. A ${K}^{\ensuremath{\pi}}={3}^{+}$ level at 190.90 keV decays by two $K$-forbidden $E1$ transitions of 19 and 136.66 keV to the ${3}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ and ${2}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ members, respectively, of the ${K}^{\ensuremath{\pi}}={0}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ ground-state rotational band of ${\mathrm{Ho}}^{166}$. |
