The performance of drip irrigation systems using biogas effluent as a proportionally new type of fertilizer is mainly limited by emitter clogging. The paper presents the results of experimental trials on the behaviors of four types of drip emitters E1, E2, E3 and E4 using three concentrations from biogas effluent 5, 25 and 45% by vol. at constant operation pressure of 100 kPa. The results indicate that the great deference between nominal (4 l/s) and measured discharge were recorded especially with local emitter types for the municipal water. The mean discharge was varied with emitter types and neglected with biogas effluent concentration treatments under each type. The relationships among qc and CV were not significantly for imported emitter types (E3 and E4) under all concentrations of biogas effluent. Whereas the local emitter types (E1 and E2) were varied between significantly and not significantly under different concentration. |
