Highly dispersed Pt nanoparticles in the Cs-modified X zeolite with enhancement for toluene side-chain alkylation with methanol

Popis: Modification of Cs/X with highly dispersed Pt nanoparticles (average size = 1.8 nm) improved the reaction activity and durability in the side-chain alkylation of toluene with methanol. The high catalytic performance could be attributed to the Pt species promoting C–H bond activation in the methyl group of toluene and inhibiting the formation of coke.
