Popis:	It is shown that the orientation of polymer macromolecules after irradiation by heavy ions allows one to produce a polyethyleneterephtalate film with increased mechanical strength and chemical resistance. Chemical etching of such a film results in the formation of elliptical shape pores oriented in the direction of film elongation.
