Biological properties of Aeromonas veronii and selection of active bacteriophages

Popis: The article presents data on the properties and biological features of Aeromonas veronii bacteria isolated from sick fish in the conditions of an estuary reservoir. The zoopathogenic properties and multiple antibiotic resistance of the studied epizootic strains have been proved. The prospects of bacteriophagy as a method of combating aeromonosis are substantiated. Nine bacteriophages specifically active against pathogens were identified. Strict strain specificity and culture-enzymatic differences between Aeromonas veronii strains on a chromogenic medium allow us to assert the presence of biovariants in this type of microorganisms.
