Popis:	An FDM (Frequency Division Multiplexing) photonic switching system is a very promising system in that it is only feasible by photonics. It utilized enormous bandwidth of lightwave and is independent of transmission methods and bit-rate. This system seems more suitable for the coming broadband age than ATM-based systems because in future they will provide us with an infrastructure for more flexible and lower cost telecommunication networks.
