The article presents the topic “The image of a scientist – history and modern trends of a joint research space” using the example of the charismatic personality of Ilya Mechnikov. The authors take a stand of axiological and personal methodological approaches while learning this topic. The greatness of a particular scientist is revealed through the perspective of value imperatives that determined his scientific activity and now determine trends and humanistic basis of the common scientific research space. The article presents a modern interpretation of Ilya Mechnikov’s vision of norms of academic communication to maintain the image of a scientist. In the context of modern guidelines for creating the image of a scientist, a formula of communicative activity was developed. The authors formed it on the basis of a generalization the prescriptions of the scientist himself, self-analysis and self-commentary on academic records. In particular, this formula is: high self-esteem, communication with people who adhere to the humanvalues and whose statements are crucial for mental vulnerability. |
