Popis: This article describes how children described the events of September 11 to their therapists in terms of the beauty of home and community. This content emerged as a theme in interviews with 20 therapists who described children's narrations of 9/11 in terms of verbal vignettes, symbolic enactments, drawings, and play during the course of play therapy. Twenty psychoanalytically oriented therapists described these vignettes which traversed 45 different cases. A surprise in the narratives were representations of home and community illustrating the children's aesthetic sensibilities. Narrativist, narratological, and psychoanalytic contributions will be used to understand this content.
