Popis:	Amended diagnoses of Austroperla and the family Austroperlidae are given. A revised description is given of Austroperla cyrene (Plecoptera : Austroperlidae), type species of the monotypic genus Austroperla and the sole austroperlid in New Zealand. Included are notes on its distribution and biology.
