The paper presents the importance of electroencephalographic (EEG) examination in tic-like disorders diagnosis. The most frequently occurring features of brain bioelectrical activity (BEA) in patients with tic-like disorders are considered: disorganisation of the background rhythm, increase of power spectra of delta and theta rhythms in frontal-central-parietal leads, increase of power spectra of beta-1- and beta-2-rhythms in frontal leads, decrease of alpha-rhythm in occipital leads. The features of EEG in patients with Tourette syndrome are described: dysrhythmias, asymmetry, non-coarse sharp waves. The correlation of alpha rhythm asymmetry expression depending on the severity of hyperkinesis is shown. |
