Popis: We present fluorescence excitation of cultured living neural cells using integrated optical waveguides. The waveguides (width 5, 7, 9 mum) are fabricated in polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) using deep ultraviolet radiation. The excitation wavelength is 473 nm.
