Popis: | An empirical relationship between the diffusion coefficients of gases in three polyethylenes and their diffusion coefficient in natural rubber is given. The diffusion coefficients are given within a relative error of 4.7%. This relationship is interpreted according to the fractional free volume theory. The ratios of the fractional free volumes in the polyethylenes to the fractional free volume in natural rubber are derived. |
