Acylative kinetic resolution of 1,1′-binaphthyl-8,8′-diamines by organocatalysis

Popis: A method for kinetic resolution of 2,2′-disubstituted 1,1′-binaphthyl-8,8′-diamines has been developed by enantioselective acylation of the amino group with chiral pyrrolidinopyridine organocatalysts. Multiple hydrogen-bonding interactions as well as π-π interaction between the catalyst the diamines were proposed to be responsible for the accelerative enantioselective acylation.
