Although decoding neural information as sound using electroencephalography is expected in many ways such as therapeutic usage and artistic expression, small number of studies involve auditory imagery itself. Here, we show that relative imagery of tones at the same pitch but with different reference tones can be decoded using connectivity measures between central and parietal electrodes. This finding indicates that top-down information flow peculiar to auditory imagery forms a broad network in the brain, which information could be useful for brain-computer interface application. |
