Popis:	New methods of synthesis of methylglyoxal bis-guanylhydrazone (as bis-hydrochloride) and methylglyoxal bis-thiosemicarbazone are developed, which are based on the reactions of 2-ethoxypropenal with aminoguanidine and thiosemicarbazide in an acid medium.
