Popis: This chapter discusses energy policy development at the moment that 169 countries are trying to save the world through ratifying the Paris Climate Change Summit (2016). However, competitive policy planning and design are multidimensional endeavors when most developing nations are faced with the advent of economic and population increase. Some of these countries still do not have energy policies or, for many years, remain unchanged. The proposed framework aims to retrieve nations' socio-economic status onto a full growth path when facing multiple challenges that fit the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This chapter reviews the literature, focusing on a systematic framework that can guide energy policy development. This chapter tries to adopt a new approach for a successful public energy policy development that meets priorities commensurate with the national strategies to meet anticipations and deliver optimum opportunities of technical, technological, political, social, environmental, economic, and institutional benefits.
