High-Performance Lithium-Sulfur Batteries using Yolk-Shell Type Sulfur-Silica Nanocomposite Particles with Raspberry-Like Morphology

Popis: A simple and scalable method to coat 1–2 micrometer sulfur particles with silica is presented. The fabricated shell has a unique morphology that resembles a raspberry. Lithium–sulfur batteries with reasonably high areal loading using this nanocomposite show very stable performance, with little capacity fading over hundreds of cycles.
