The paper presents the work performed by a team of engineers and doctors from the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca and healthcare institutions in the same city in Romania to develop an innovative hospital bed with smart features. The undertaking is part of the project PN-III-P2–2.1-PED-2019–5430 financed by the Romanian Government and is focused on achieving a novel product that incorporates state of the art IT&C, original mechanisms, and composite materials with antibacterial properties. |
