In this chapter, an overview is given of some of the research that has been done on solar water heating applications, introduced in the preceding chapter. This material is based on information provided by CEC action 2 and action 3 participants. It will be apparent that this list of research from within the EC, — which includes many projects that are not yet in their final stages, and can thus provide only provisional conclusions — is not complete, and that the individual descriptions do not always contain all the necessary information. We believe however that within the limitations of the material which was available to us, this chapter can give the reader a reliable picture of the state of the art of the current research, as well as help develop a feel for the potential of the applications in question. |
