Popis: The absorption spectrum of the H atom and the rate constant for its biomolecular decay have been determined at pH 2 using solutions containing hydrogen under high-pressure. In the temperature range 20–250°C the activation energy is measured as E = (3.5±0.2) kcal mol-1 [(14.7±1.0) kJ mol-1] close to a diffusion-controlled activation energy. The spectrum changes very little, but there are indications for a small continous increase in Ge with rising temperature.
