Popis: | The pyrolysis of Fe-tetraphenylporphyrin chloride (FeCITPP) has been examined by FTIR spectroscopy. Two series of samples, with and without additional carbon black, were studied. It was found that the decomposition of FeCITPP occurred in a very narrow range of temperature. The mixture of FeCITPP and carbon decomposed at a lower temperature than pure crystalline FeCITPP. The oxygen chemically adsorbed on the surface of carbon black may play an important role in this respect. The mechanisms of pyrolysis have been discussed and a model of three steps of decomposition was proposed. The first step has been followed also by measuring the chlorine content by means of quantitative XPS. |
